Official Tournament Rulebook

1. Participation

Any use of inappropriate or vulgar language for team names and in-game names (IGNs) is strictly prohibited. Promoting virtual currency (UC/Diamond/Dias) and any kind of cryptocurrency which are banned by the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act 1947 within the game or on social platforms will result in the player and the entire team being banned.

  • A. All participants of CGF 2025 must be 16 years or older.
  • B. National federations may increase the eligible age if required by law.
  • C. Anyone not excluded by applicable law or organizer’s rules may participate.
  • D. Tournament officials and staff cannot participate in events they oversee.
  • E. Only players with a valid Moonton account (not banned) may participate.
  • F. All players must compete on their own accounts; account sharing is forbidden.
  • G. Total team members: maximum 7 (5 players, 1 stand-in, 1 coach).

2. Team Leader

Each team must designate a team leader or manager. The team leader acts as the link between the team and the tournament officials and may not belong to another team.

  • • Represent the team in communication with organizers and other teams.
  • • Sign off team decisions and relay information (schedules, formats, etc.).
  • • Must be available on site and notify officials in case of absence.
  • • Team leader changes are only allowed if the current leader is unable to continue; officials must be notified immediately.

3. Preparation Time

Preparation time (minimum 30 minutes) is provided before match start. Players must:

  • Be ready 10 minutes before start; substitutes must be declared 1 hour prior.
  • Check and attach all personal hardware (earbuds, chargers, hubs, etc.).
  • Test the provided phone’s performance and report any issues immediately.
  • Join designated voice channels 5 minutes before start.

Violations lead to warnings, escalating to penalties upon repetition.

4. Starting Time

All matches start at times set by the organizer. Teams must be on time. Minimum break between series: 25 minutes. Late arrival may cause a forfeit.

5. Number of Players

Matches require 5 players per team (5v5). Fewer players = no-show.

6. Game of Record (GoR)

Defines when a match is official (any interaction between teams, or 2:00 game time). Once GoR is reached, remakes are limited unless admin-approved.

7. Remaking the Game

Remakes before/after GoR are only allowed by admin decision, including technical faults, bugs, or connection failures. New picks/bans may be required.:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

8. Pause / Break / Timeout

Each team may request pauses for disconnection, hardware malfunction, or physical issues, subject to referee approval. Teams must inform the referee and cooperate to resolve issues quickly.

9. Disconnect

If disconnected, pause immediately and notify referee. Replays or rematches may be ordered for technical bugs or indeterminate outcomes.

10. Stream Snipping

Players and associates are forbidden from sharing live match info from streams.

11. Local Organizer

The local national federation acts as organizer and has final authority on protests and disputes.

12. Determining a Winner

Victory by destroying the opponent’s base or surrender. Disputes resolved by referee decision.

13. Tiebreaker in Case of Group Stage

Ties resolved by head-to-head, game difference, shortest victory, or extra Bo1 match. Further ties may be decided by coin toss.

14. Configuration of the Matches

Game mode: Draft Pick 5v5 Ban 5; lobby: Room Tournament (Live). Coin toss determines first/second pick per match.

15. Wrong Pick

No remakes for mistaken pick/ban.

16. Swapping Heroes

If hero swap mistakes occur, match continues.

17. Forbidden Behaviour

Includes misconduct, disrespect, intentional loss, or manipulating game client beyond provided settings.

18. Additional

New heroes banned for 2 weeks after release. Bugged heroes may be banned. Skins/emblems unrestricted. Only pause or respectful chat allowed; taunting and recall permitted

19. Change of Rules

Rules may change with new patches or official decisions by referees. Updated rules take effect immediately upon communication.
