Official Tournament Rulebook

1. Introduction & Purpose

The AIUB Cyber Gaming Fest 2025 (CGF-2025) is an independent Gaming tournament. This fest is organized with 5 other games alongside Valorant.

This rulebook defines the core rules, format, and conduct for all teams participating in Valorant.

By registering, all players agree to follow this rulebook and the directions of CGF Officials.

2. Tournament Format

2.1 Teams & Brackets

  • Registration will be limited to a maximum of 16 teams to ensure smooth tournament management. Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Teams will compete through multiple stages of elimination. Bracket type and progression format will be announced before the event begins.
  • Double Elimination Bracket.
  • Higher Bracket Matches on LAN .
  • Lower Bracket Matches Online .

2.2 Match Draw

  • Matchups are randomly generated — no seeding or favoritism.
  • Bracket will be publicly shared before each stage.

2.3 Match Format

  • Best of 1 (Bo1) for all rounds except Semi-Finals & Finals, which are Best of 3 (Bo3).

3. Match Rules

3.1 Map Selection

  • Teams alternate bans until one map remains.
  • Randomly selected by a toss — 'Team A' starts the ban.

3.2 Server Rules

  • All matches will be hosted on the designated official tournament servers with observer presence from CGF officials.
  • If any player is disconnected during a match, they may rejoin only with proper proof of disconnection. Otherwise, the game must continue with remaining players (e.g., 5v4).

3.3 Match Conduct

  • All players must check in on the given time in the fixture.
  • No unauthorized programs, macros, or scripts allowed.
  • Players must maintain professional behavior and respect opponents and officials.
  • Disruptions or cheating lead to disqualification.

3.4 Voice Chat

  • Players are not allowed to use any third-party software to communicate while gaming. Every player must use the in-game voice chat system or CGFs official discord server.

4. Equipment , Technical & Pause Rules

4.1 Equipment

  • Players can bring their own Keyboard, Mouse, Headphone and Mouse pad if they wish to bring it. Nevertheless, each and every one of them will also be provided from the organizers end.

4.2 Timeouts

  • Each team has 2 tactical timeouts (90s each) per map, plus 1 extra during overtime.

4.3 Technical Pauses

  • Allowed only for valid technical issues or any other emergency situation.
  • Players must call pause through the referee or match admin.

4.4 Substitutions

  • Only registered substitutes may replace a player.
  • Substitutions allowed between maps only.

5. Post-Match Process

  • Results will be confirmed by match admin.
  • Teams must stay available for post-match photos/interviews if requested.
  • Any dispute must be raised within 10 minutes after match completion.

6. Disciplinary Rules

6.1 Cheating

  • Any unauthorized software or exploit use will lead to instant disqualification.

6.2 Unsportsmanlike Conduct

  • Verbal abuse, harassment, stream sniping, or equipment tampering are prohibited.
  • Penalties range from warning → round loss → match forfeit → tournament ban.

6.3 Delay of Game

  • Late 5 min = round loss.
  • Late 15 min = match forfeit.

7. Prizes & Recognition

  • Prizes and awards will be announced before the tournament begins.
  • Winners will receive the prize pool announced beforehand along with certificates and crests.

8. Authority of Officials

  • All referee and admin decisions are final.
  • AIUB COMPUTER CLUB reserves the right to modify rules for fairness or technical reasons and it will be announced beforehand.

**Players aren’t allowed to bring their own monitors due to SECURITY LIMITATIONS. Sponsors will supply 21.5” FULL HD monitors for the tournament.
